Why did people who lived in different parts of the world and believed in different forces of nature, in many gods, then began to believe in one, one god?

The statement that the world is ruled by one god is not entirely true. Different nations believe in different gods. If you look at Christianity and Judaism, you can understand that we are still far from a single religion. But there were even more gods before. This abundance of superior beings can be explained by an ordinary ignorance of nature. Almost every weather phenomenon was personified, considered the intrigues of the gods. But in reality, people simply did not have enough knowledge to explain lightning, thunder or drought. Therefore, the gap in scientific knowledge was covered with supernatural explanations.
