Why did the Greeks leave their country and where?

Many Greeks were forced to leave their native Balkans, because already by the 7th century BC there began a land hunger, which was the result of population growth and improved living conditions on the peninsula. As a result, they began to settle along the entire coast of the Black and Mediterranean Seas. This is due to the fact that the Greeks, as seafarers, generally did not swim in the open sea, but were only engaged in coastal voyages, that is, in line of sight from the coast. As a result, they found there land suitable for construction and farming, establishing their colonies there.
