Why did the ideology of fascism and militant nationalism take hold in Germany, Italy and Japan?

In Germany, fascist ideology spread primarily because of the Hitler government, which came to power in 1933. A crisis was raging in the country at that time, people were dissatisfied with the old government, defeat in the First World War added fuel to the fire, the pride of the German people was hurt, so the Germans succumbed to fascist propaganda. In Italy, there was a similar situation, the Mussolini government supported the fascist ideology. Japan, on the other hand, was an ally of Germany, therefore, it adopted fascism.
