Why did the Reformation begin in Germany?

Two fundamental factors played an important role: the feudal fragmentation of Germany and the personality of Martin Luther King. Given the difficult economic situation of different strata at the beginning of the 16th century, few were satisfied with the policy of the church – from peasants to artisans. There was no unity in the country and the church could not unite the divided regions around itself. In this situation, Martin Luther King came to the fore. He confidently rallied the opponents of the church around him. “95 Theses”, “Worms Edict” and other events stirred up the society and became a catalyst for the Reformation.
