Why did the Romans choose the laws of Solon as a model?

Rome was the successor to Ancient Greece. Ancient Greece is a unique state, it is the first country in which the demos ruled – the people. And this happened thanks to the laws of the Salon, which sought to make all people the same (not in the property sense, as in the Soviet Union), but in the sense of having the same rights. Regardless of origin, every citizen of the country could speak, had the right to vote and choose. Also, citizens, even the poorest and mired in debt, could not be enslaved.
The main value of the state was a citizen, a person born in this country from a free person.
