Why did the struggle between aristocrats and demos intensify in Athens?

The demos was just very dissatisfied with their position in the state, as well as with the fact that all key positions were occupied by the aristocracy. Also, the people constantly demanded the abolition of debt slavery and the division of land. We can say that the Athenians were able to achieve all this, and therefore, Athens itself was able to turn into a democratic state.
