Why didn’t the revolution start after the assassination of Alexander II?

The assassination of Emperor Alexander II only led to the change of the monarch and the strengthening of the police regime. This terrorist act could not lead to a revolution for the following reasons:
1. Disagreement in the ranks of “Narodnaya Volya”.
2. Mass arrests of propagandists and agitators.
3. Absence of a leader and revolutionary organizations with a specific program to overthrow the monarchy.
4. The terror undertaken by the organization “Land and Freedom” as a means of political struggle did not have the approval of the people.
5. The delusion of members of secret organizations that the assassination of the supreme ruler will find the support of the masses.
