Why do amphibians need protection?

The whole problem is that every day there are fewer and fewer amphibians on Earth – this is mainly due to pollution of the environment and water bodies. Industrial waste, massively dumped into river floodplains, leads to the mass death of frogs and other amphibians, which are extremely sensitive to a deterioration in biological balance and cannot tolerate poisoning with toxic substances.

In addition, many species of amphibians are ruthlessly destroyed by poachers for their skins and meat.
