Why do hares feed at night?

Hares by their nature are very cowardly, and during the day they are often faced with only dangers, so they escape from them by hiding during the day, and leaving their shelters at night and looking for food for themselves. They can dig holes up to eight meters deep for themselves in winter, and in summer they hide in abandoned marmot holes or arrange for themselves so-called “lying places” – these are sites that are located in secluded places where they simply crush the grass.
