Why do many historians consider Churchill’s speech to be the beginning of the Cold War?

Churchill’s speech received a great response. He spoke about the problem of poverty and hunger, the need to create a UN, the importance of forming the armed forces of this organization. But the main reason is that Churchill, examining the international situation at the end of World War II, called everything by its proper name. In his opinion, a long resistance was expected between the democratic West and the totalitarian Soviet Union. Churchill spoke very transparently about the situation in the USSR and the benefits of creating a similar situation in the countries subject to the Soviet Union. The world first heard the phrase “iron curtain”. Churchill said that he advanced on Europe throughout the territory. The politician clearly defined the zone of influence of the Soviets and the nature of the policy in the occupied territories. “Fraternal Association of Anglophone Peoples”, about which he broadcast, that it was to become a military alliance, because the Russians were impressed only by strength. There were also words about the priority that the Anglo-Saxon world has in the field of atomic weapons.
