Why do many historical monuments die because of people?

Historical heritage is a very fragile material. Often the human factor becomes the cause of their destruction. People often do not notice the historical value of a particular item. For example, monuments die from repair and improper restoration work. Due to a lack of budget, repairs are being carried out, as a result of which the original elements disappear. Many people have not developed a culture of behavior. In some cases, historical monuments are simply demolished to clean up the area for new needs.
