Why do many plants reproduce predominantly asexually?

Various plants can reproduce sexually or asexually. It all depends on the type of plant. Asexual reproduction occurs with the help of plant parts. For example – using the root, whiskers, leaves, parts of the shoot, and so on. This method is very simple and allows the plant to reproduce without other plants and mixing of genetic information. But there are also disadvantages to this method. The offspring of plants almost never receive new properties and mutations, since the DNA of the parent and daughter organism is identical.
