Why do people need education?

Even in ancient Rome, education was considered a luxury. Only capable people and children of wealthy parents studied. Today the value of education has been lost. Because almost everyone can get a diploma (just for show).
People need to be educated to:
1) Self-development;
2) For the future (get a job, make money);
3) Obtaining theoretical and practical knowledge.
One of the components of a person's success in our time is receiving modern high-quality education, mastering the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for life in society. A person today needs to study almost all his life, mastering everything new and new, acquiring the necessary professional qualities.
