Why does a modern person need to learn to understand other cultures?

In modern society, the cultures of many peoples have mixed, states with peoples of different nationalities have been formed. A modern person must learn to understand other cultures in order to know the history of their development, to understand how other people think, to perceive their traditions and ceremonies, and is tolerant of other people’s beliefs. Indeed, over time, different nations are getting closer to each other, and if we do not learn to understand our neighbors, for us everything can end in war.
