Why does a person develop more slowly than an animal?

Man develops longer than many animals, since we live much longer. The average person lives for 80 years. Many other species live much shorter lives, although there are also centenarians. This is the first reason for the long development of a person, since our life cycle is longer. The second reason is the complexity of the structure of our body. Our body is much more complex than that of other animals. We have very complex organ systems as well as a very developed nervous system. Therefore, their slow development reduces the chances of developmental pathologies.
