Why does it snow in winter?

All inhabitants associate winter in the northern hemisphere of our planet with snow, which forms a white snow cover on the earth. Snow is the usual moisture that is in the clouds, and when the air temperature reaches below zero, it begins to solidify. Under the force of gravity, this moisture begins to fall out of the clouds in the form of precipitation, which we are used to seeing in the form of snow. Since in most cases there are negative air temperatures in winter, precipitation is represented by snow. In addition, there may be snow or ice pellets.
