Why does perfume smell spread faster with the wind than without it?

This happens because the wind spreads volatile odorous substances, and the smell is our perception of the presence in the air of such substances that can be both pleasant (the same perfume, the smell of freshly baked bread) and unpleasant (the smell of paints and varnishes, kitchen fumes, tobacco smoke). Therefore, in order to rid the room of unpleasant odors, the room is ventilated. On the other hand, our sense of pleasant and unpleasant odors also depends on the concentration of odorous substances, so a few drops of perfume create a pleasant aroma, and a spilled bottle has a completely opposite effect.
