Why does the presence of nucleic acid not ensure the multiplication of viruses?

Viruses are non-cellular agents that live and multiply inside the cell. These organisms have nucleic acids in their composition, which are located in the center and are responsible for the preservation of genetic information, but they do not ensure the reproduction of the creature. This is due to the fact that viruses do not have a protein synthesis mechanism, and this will not allow the virus to divide. Therefore, for reproduction, the virus must enter the cell and use the host organism for protein synthesis from the RNA or DNA matrix, each virus has its own nucleic acid.
