Why does the state need taxes? What taxes do citizens pay?

Taxes are required to replenish the state budget. By giving part of our money in the form of taxes, we are essentially acting as accomplices in creating a favorable environment for life. From tax revenues, the state finances a significant part of expenditures: for defense, health care, education, maintenance of government bodies, courts, social and cultural spheres, etc. For example, we pay transport tax from this money, the state repairs roads. We pay contributions to the pension fund and social security. Funds are returned in the form of state services and social support: medicine, protection in case of job loss, illness, pensions. In principle, we have an extremely low degree of involvement in paying taxes, poor awareness of the tax burden borne by a citizen, a feeling that public services are free of charge and, as a consequence, a lack of understanding why taxes should be paid at all.
People pay the following taxes:
Transport tax;
Income tax;
Land tax;
Property tax;
VAT;
etc.
