Why does the vital activity of the cell stop when enzymes are destroyed?

Enzymes in the cell perform various important functions that keep the cell alive. For example, thanks to enzymes, the first stage of energy metabolism takes place. It is the process of preparing organic particles for further oxidation. These enzymes are contained within the lysosomes. Lysosomes capture particles and break them down into smaller organic structures. Only after this can the second and third stages of energy exchange begin. Without enzymes, this will not happen and the cell will die rather quickly.
