Why doesn’t the wound bleed when the lizard sheds part of its tail?

Tail Dropping is a unique ability of lizards. She saved the lives of many representatives, because when the predator grabbed the reptile by the tail, the last thing that remains for the lizard is to leave the tail and escape. This is a rather difficult procedure for lizards, during which they contract their muscles very strongly. The contraction of the muscles constricts the blood vessels – and not a drop of blood will be on the wound. The tail may grow back, but it will be very slow. All this time, the lizard will be weak – it will not be able to run as fast over obstacles as before and will be despised by other lizards.
