Why even large multicellular algae lack a vascular system?

Algae are lower plants. This means that they do not have any tissues or organs. They simply do not need them. The vessels of higher plants are necessary for the transport of water and minerals dissolved in it from the root to the leaves. Algae do not need this, as they live in the aquatic environment. They have no root system or leaves. They immediately take all the necessary substances from the water. These are minerals, carbon dioxide, oxygen and water itself. The same goes for other organs.
