Why exactly agriculture contributed to population growth?

Farming was a fruitful activity. Thanks to this, the population increased. People have learned to cultivate the land in such a way that it gives more crops. An adequate supply of food resources helped people lead life. In conditions of sufficient food supply, the need to expand its own population was formed. Agriculture was the main activity of the ancient people and they achieved success in this sector of the economy. This required more hands.
