Why has the United States become the leading country in the world?

The United States became the leading country in the world thanks to the competent foreign and domestic policies of the American authorities in the 19th and 20th centuries. Until the First World War, the Americans pursued a policy of non-interference in other people’s wars, were exclusively engaged in the development of their own economy. In fact, we entered both world wars at the very end, taking advantage of the fruits of the victors. Due to their geographical location, the Americans did not wage wars on their territory, did not experience the horrors and consequences of the bombing. Their powerful economic potential, created by an efficient market economy, was not wasted in meaningless confrontation. After WWII, the USA, along with the USSR, became a superpower. After the collapse of the Soviets, the only superpower in the world remained.
