During the First World War, the level of industrial production and trade in Japan increased significantly. Its influence gradually increased in the international political and economic arena, however, there was still a large gap between industry and Japan’s underdeveloped agriculture, which ultimately led to a decline in the economy. People were looking for a way out, so they caught on the ideas of fascism as a saving straw, which, in their opinion, should have led Japan to prosperity.
