Why is a living organism a single whole?

All parts of the body are interconnected and perform different functions. Violation of any part of the body leads to disruption of its vital functions. If we consider a single-celled organism, then there parts of the cell are indispensable for life. The same applies to multicellular organisms, whose cells support each other’s life and the existence of the organism as a whole. Therefore, a violation of the organism is a violation of a single whole, which does not exist in another form.
