Why is cellular metabolism considered basic? what two processes are going on in it?

The basic unit of living is the cell. The aggregate of cells forms tissues, dummy organs and so on. Therefore, it is the cells that are involved in the metabolic process. Cellular metabolism includes the formation of more complex substances from simple ones, that is, assimilation, otherwise, the accumulation of energy by the body, and the process of dissimilation, the release of energy due to the decomposition of complex substances into simple ones. Therefore, cellular metabolism is considered basic.
