Why is each new period of history shorter than the previous one?

The fact is that periods of history are closely related to the development of man himself. For example, during the Middle Ages, people were under the full authority of the church. The “objectionable” sciences were banned. Scientists trying to circumvent the ban could pay with their lives at the stake of the Inquisition. And progress has stopped. People did not move on, drowning in ignorance and Old Believer views of the world. But with the arrival of the Renaissance, the world has changed. It didn’t take long for people to understand the foundations of the universe. Progress also affects a person’s ability to think and reason.

One of the components of a person's success in our time is receiving modern high-quality education, mastering the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for life in society. A person today needs to study almost all his life, mastering everything new and new, acquiring the necessary professional qualities.
