Why is it always cold in the Arctic and how do plants and animals adapt there?

It is cold at the North Pole because the sun’s rays do not fully reach the surface of this territory. The Earth is tilted towards the Sun due to the peculiarities of its axis. The rays only tangentially heat the north and south poles. Because of this, the Arctic is always frozen. Animals there adapt by the fact that they accumulate a large layer of adipose tissue and have a thick warm coat. There are no plants in the Arctic. Since there is only ice and snow. They are located a little further south – in the tundra. There they are very low and have a poorly developed root system.
