Why is it important to study the history of modern times?

It was during this period that the emergence of capitalist relations took place, which today reached its peak in individual countries. Also, the first calls for the overthrow of the monarchical power and the formation of civil society appear. For the first time, there is the emergence and calls for the creation of states in which everyone will be equal before the constitution. The disintegration of feudal relations takes place. Class division no longer has any role, because both artisans and nobles can lead the same way of life. In such a situation, the nobility becomes a relic of the feudal system. During this period, cardinal changes took place in the Russian Empire – this was the cut window to Europe by Peter I, and the spread of the political teachings of French philosophers in the 19th century. The critical point of modern times for the Russian Empire was the October Revolution, which ended the existence of the Russian Empire. After that, a new period of history began for Russia.

Thus, among the important acquisitions of the modern era, the following can be distinguished:

decomposition of feudal relations and the development of capitalist relations;
transformation of the state system not according to class division, but class;
it is also worth highlighting the great work of Karl Marx “Capital”, which changed not only the economic research of the XIX century, but also the whole history of the Russian Empire;
the emergence of nations – the political unit of society.
