Why is it necessary to protect monuments of history and culture?

Protecting historical and cultural monuments is the direct responsibility of a citizen of the country.
If the people who lived before us did not treat them carefully, our generation would hardly be able to see them with their own eyes, except perhaps in the pictures. And since monuments are a reflection of the history and culture of the past, just as a person is obliged to know the past of his country, he is also obliged to protect it.
