Why is natural selection guiding evolution?

Because individuals not adapted to the environment (disabled, mutants), those who cannot survive, with impairments or signs that do not allow them to survive, die and do not transmit their “unnecessary” trait to their offspring. And evolution goes only in the direction in which individuals can exist in environments, only with normal and important traits that allow them to adapt.
