Why is noise called unwanted sound?

Noise, in our understanding, is already unwanted and loud sound. After all, when they say the word noise, then we understand that something sounds very loud. They always say the noise of the car, the noise from the neighbor’s drill, the noise in the classroom. Noise is always mentioned in a bad context, it turns out that this is not a desirable sound.
