Why is our species still not extinct from encounters with various infectious diseases that we face?

Infectious diseases are caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, protozoa, and prions.

There are many reasons why our species did not become extinct from these diseases.

Firstly, many diseases have their own distribution area, for example, their pathogens do not survive in too cold or hot climates, so only certain regions are infected.

Secondly, after the invention of vaccination, it was possible to almost completely get rid of terrible diseases, for example, smallpox. For this reason, vaccinations should not be abandoned.

Third, there are many drugs today.

Fourth, the spread of certain diseases (for example, prion disease) is associated with ceremonies that are now almost never performed. For example, in some tribes it is customary to eat the flesh of a deceased person. And if he was sick with prion disease, then infection is guaranteed.
