Why is the classification of living things important?

The classification of living organisms allows scientists to identify the similarities and differences in genotypes and phenotypes of organisms, to prove or disprove the commonality of their origin, to correctly determine the level of development and organization. Without classification, we would not have an idea of the world, because we would not even have an idea of our origin.
