Why is the First World War called the Forgotten War?

Little attention was paid to the First World War. This was due to the fact that Russia actually became the losing side. In 1917, the Bolsheviks came to power, who preferred to end hostilities by unilaterally leaving the war. No research was carried out, practically no assessments were made of what happened during the hostilities. This gave rise to the name “forgotten war”.
