Why is the importance of education emerging in the information society?

The information society involves the processing of a huge amount of information. Never in history has such a huge amount of data dumped on a person. People must understand information, be able to search for it and process it. And this cannot be done with high quality if you do not have knowledge. Without knowledge, a person is not able to cope with an endless stream of data. The untrained individual will have to drown in the flow of information. An educated person can easily assimilate new knowledge and use it to their advantage.
