Why is the latitudinal location of belts and natural zones prevalent in Africa?

Africa stands out from the rest of the continents in that the natural zones here almost completely coincide with the climatic ones and are distributed in latitudes (with the exception of equatorial forests, which are located only in the western part). This is due to the fact that the relief on the mainland is relatively flat. Here, mountain ranges do not stretch from north to south and do not limit the path to air masses and precipitation. Also, the mountain ranges are not very large when compared with other continents, and have little effect on the climate and natural zones.
