Why is the sea transportation of oil more intensive than the transportation of gas?

Oil and natural gas very often occur together in the lithosphere, but their density is completely different. With gas, the situation is different, if any shipyard wanted to build a tanker for transporting gas in its usual form, when designing it would have to take into account the curvature of the globe, so the ship would be huge. If all this gas was converted to a liquid state, the tanker would also be of normal size. It is the cost of installing a terminal in the port for such an operation that stops companies from starting mass transportation of gas by sea.
