Why study botany?

The science of botany is of paramount importance for the entire planet, because at the moment, thanks to the knowledge accumulated in this area, food problems in densely populated areas of the Earth are being solved. Scientists, studying plants in the wild, collect information about them, which can then be applied in agriculture. Also, this science helps to understand what evolutionary path the plants went through in the distant past, thanks to which we can learn more about the history of our planet.
