Why, unlike England, France and Spain, in Germany and Italy in the Middle Ages did not arise single centralized states?

This is due to the fact that constant feudal wars took place in those territories. There was no powerful ruler who could finally unite these lands. True, even in England and France itself, strife often occurred, which led to feudal fragmentation. This process can be well observed in France, where feudal clashes took place for many centuries after the collapse of Charles’s empire. As soon as the country was united, the war immediately began, which again divided it.
