Why was a fascist dictatorship established in Germany?

First, Germany had a difficult economic situation – constant inflation, a decline in production, and total unemployment. All this, coupled with the “Great Depression” and heavy reparations. Secondly, after the war, Germany lost a number of territories (including all of its colonies), and suffered heavy material losses. Both of these factors contributed to the growth of revanchist sentiments. Third, the communist movement was defeated for a certain period, which did not allow the workers to rally against the militant burghers. Fourthly, a united front of anti-fascist forces was not created.
