Why was Prometheus considered a mythological hero in ancient Greece?

The ancient Greeks considered Prometheus to be the main deity. After all, he is the one who created humanity. He taught people a lot: how to plow, build, sail ships, light a fire, and much more. The Greeks believed that he lived before the first Greek tribes of Greece, so they included Prometheus in their mythology, as the creator of people, humanity. He loved people very much – those whom he himself created. He took care of them and even went to deceive. He deceived the gods and stole fire from Zeus. For this, Prometheus paid seriously, but was saved by Hercules.
