Why was Socrates considered a wise philosopher?

Socrates was called a wise philosopher, because his dialogues with citizens were simple and laconic, he did not teach wisdom for money, but was a simple citizen, like them, and only offered a model of behavior in which people would live according to conscience and justice. He did not take money for it, but he was a great speaker nonetheless.
