Why was the regime established by the Nazis in Germany called totalitarian?

At the beginning of the 20th century, a totalitarian Nazi regime began to be established in Germany. Its essence was that the state controlled all spheres of life, declared production and indicated civil liberties only nominally in the constitution or other legal documents. Also, under this regime, a cult of personality and ideology was formed in the state. The laws were mainly aimed at protecting the state, not the individual. Any opposition was suppressed, because there was a universal obligatory ideology.
