Why was the UK leading the way in the use of steam engines?

The UK has led the way in the use of steam engines due to a number of factors. First, the island then had a large number of deposits of coal, which could be mined in a quarry. Secondly, the climate of Britain does not support a large number of the population, however, machines are much easier to endure the winter, so the appearance of one warm machine that replaced a hundred workers, with whom the building still needed to be heated, led to an increase in productivity.
