Why was the War of the Polish Succession important for Europe?

| This military conflict took place from 1733 to 1735. The cause of the war was the struggle for the Polish throne between Stanislav 1 and August 3. At that time, the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth was increasingly losing its authority and power in Europe. Thus, its lands became a tasty morsel for other European countries. Ultimately, the August 3 coalition was able to win the war. For the same reason, Russia was able to strengthen its influence over the Kingdom of Poland.
