Why was the War of the Polish Succession important for Europe?

This military conflict took place from 1733 to 1735. The cause of the war was the struggle for the Polish throne between Stanislav 1 and August 3. At that time, the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth was increasingly losing its authority and power in Europe. Thus, its lands became a tasty morsel for other European countries. Ultimately, the August 3 coalition was able to win the war. For the same reason, Russia was able to strengthen its influence over the Kingdom of Poland.
