Why were Persia and India colonized by England?

In Persia, the Azerbaijani emirs and feudal princes from Isfahan had a strong influence on political life. Mashhad and other regions, so the power of the Qajars was unstable, the army, with the exception of the Shah’s musketeers, was recruited according to the medieval principle. The Qajar Empire was a weak state, like India, torn apart by feuds between the Sikhs, Marathas and the Muslim population.
