Why were the African peoples unable to resist the colonialists?

The reason was the all-round backwardness of the peoples of Africa. Europeans outnumbered Africans in all respects. The Europeans had a powerful fleet. This allowed them to deliver troops, weapons and food over considerable distances by sea. The armament and organization of the troops were much better. Cavalry was used. The Europeans had one faith. This was Christianity. African tribes were scattered, did not have a single religion and often fought with each other. The Africans had little or no knowledge of metal technology. But there is an example of worthy resistance. This is the Anglo-Zulu War.
