Why were the Greeks called the sea people?

The Greeks were called the sea people for two reasons. Firstly, the Greeks were active seafarers, since the developed, as at that time, shipbuilding contributed to the active colonization of the Northern Black Sea region, North Africa and the coast of Asia Minor.
Secondly, due to the turbulent processes of migration of peoples in the Bronze Age, the Greeks were one of those Mediterranean peoples who migrated by sea in the twelfth century BC.
